Extracting Microbial DNA from Corals
Guess who’s back in the lab for 2024? That’s right, yours truly! My idea of a fresh start is diving into coral and microbial DNA extractions. Last summer I collected corals from Kahekili Beach, Maui, and I am finally getting around to extracting DNA from my precious coral samples.
Freshly thawed preserved coral samples. I used an extraction kit which made the job simpler and much faster too!
